Billie Kurtz-King Obituary

Billie Lurene Kurtz-King, 67 of Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at St. Andrew’s Village.

She was born January 4, 1959, to William and Adele (Kight) Kurtz in Connellsville, PA.

Billie was a 1978 graduate of Uniontown High School. She married her husband of 38 years, Gordon Q. King on February 20, 1988. She moved to Indiana in 1988, where she raised her family. She was an active member of Graystone Presbyterian Church, where she was a former Youth Group Leader. Billie was also a Girl Scout Leader, Band Mom, and really a mother to everyone she met. She attended every event that her children participated in.  Billie worked for Sears for over 30 years until it closed.

She is survived by her husband Gordon Q. King, two daughters Kayla A. King and husband Brian D. Abromovich, Liz I. King, and fiancé Brendon D. Gazdag, all of Indiana. Additionally Grandpups, Quill and Juniper and close family friends the Palmieri family.

She preceded in death by her parents, three siblings, Ralph Wagley, Betty Lou Nickolas, Barbara Ann Randall, and dear friends, Ed and Flo Palmieri.

Friends and family can visit Tuesday from 2:00 PM until the time of service at 5:00 PM at the John A. Ledahl Funeral Home, 898 Old Route 119 North, Indiana, PA 15701.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association. 100 W. Station Square Dr. #1900, Pittsburgh, PA 15219.
