Wesley James Errett, 82, Homer City, died Friday, September 21, 2018 at the Indiana Regional Medical Center.
The son of Russell Errett and Nellie (Lentz) Errett Strickland, he was born March 29, 1936 in Jeannette, PA.
Wesley was a 20-year Airforce veteran, having served in Vietnam War and rose to the rank of Tech. Sgt.
Later in his life he became a Minister and served the ministry since 1986. Wesley had many interests such as cooking, playing the piano and guitar. He and friends would play together at the Moorehead House to bring happiness to the elderly. Wesley was always open to debate just about any topic and will be remembered as a kind, giving man who loved his family deeply.
Surviving are his children, Susan (Paul) Sykes, Lucernmines, Russell (Diane) Errett, Elizabethton, TN, and Kevin (Jeannette) Errett, Jeannette, PA; grandchildren, Lacie (Matt) Barrett, Clint (Rachael) Errett, Steven Errett, Tina (Gary) Olson, Sarah (Jon) Stiles, and Nathan (Tamara) Sykes; great grandchildren, Isaic, Logan and Adam, Barrett; Wesley, Hunter, and Daisy Errett; Gary, Gabrielle, and Lillyana Olson; Owen, Declan, Keegan and Torin Stiles; and Miya Sykes; half-brothers, Fred (Doris) Mitchell, Russell and Bob Errett; and Half-sisters Charlotte, Ruby Errett, and Mae (Mitchell) DeCarlo.
Preceding Wesley in death were his parents; wife, Tomoko; brother, Russell; half-brothers, Russell and Bob Errett; half-sisters Charlotte, Ruby, Anna Mae; step-sister Myra Stains.
Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home, Indiana. Funeral service will be conducted 11 am Wednesday morning in the Lefdahl Chapel with Rev. Robert Thorton, officiating. Military Rites will be performed by VFW Post 1989.
Interment in the Jeannette Memorial Park will be private.
