August 15, 1933- September 14, 2018

Years ago at a Jesus festival a speaker said, “Absent from the body, present with the Lord.”  Walt loved those Jesus festivals. They were fun, lively, learning experiences for growing in faith. Walt had a life theme from youth which read, if it isn’t fun I’m not doing it.  He pretty much was able to complete his race living that out except for the “thorn in the flesh” walker holding him back.

On Friday evening, September 14, 2018 He transitioned from this world to eternal glory, no walker needed. In the presence of his Lord Jesus he is once again walking, dancing and praising. He’s having more fun than he ever imagined.

Left on earth to still only imagine are his spouse Bonnie (Learn) Wiggins, his three sons Walter Scott, Eric Earl, and Shawn Clark Wiggins and Shawn’s wife Connie Rocker Wiggins. Missing their grandpa are Colton, Barett, Zachary, Isaac and Ean.

Walt had a great life, excelling at golf, enjoying his family, walking with God in his unique way, doing his investigative work with gusto and delivering mail. He never allowed boredom to cross his threshold, but kept exploring the life God gifted him with. He remained humble, seeing life as a gift.

His family, at his request welcome you, his friends, acquaintances, and golfing buddies to an informal celebration of his life by participating in a time of sharing good memories, hearing his pastor reflect on life lived to the glory of God and being encouraged through music to live life as God intends with joy and abandon. We will come together to celebrate him at New Life Community Church, Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 1:00 pm. New Life is located in the Indiana Mall near the old K-Mart garden center entrance and old Sears pick-up area doors in the former Dingbats Bar/Restaurant.

We request there be no floral memorials. Any gifts in his memory can be directed to New Life Community Church.
