Virginia Louise (D’Aurelio) Adamson, 82, Homer City, passed away Sunday, September 9, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
The daughter of Joseph and Guida (Contestabile) D’Aurelio, she was born November 27, 1935 in Homer City.
Virginia was a graduate of Laura-Lamar High School. She was a member of Our Lady of Assumption in Lucernemines, Court St. Theresa #563 C.D.A, United Commercial Travelers, and a Homer City Band Booster. She was a former member of the Indiana Grange. Virginia was employed by Aramark Food Service for 27 years. She enjoyed crocheting, baking, needle point, and camping. Virginia will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Surviving is her husband, Gerald Adamson; children, Lillian Weaver, Homer City, David Adamson, Lucernemines, Karen Warr-Adamson, Homer City, Michele Cousins, Indiana; grandchildren, Carrie (Jim) Saltsman, Homer City, Brittany Adamson and her fiancée, Levi Johnston, Lucernemines, Alicia Nicole Adamson, New Mexico, Megan Nicole Armstrong, Creekside; great-grandchildren, Dominic Deyarmin and Connor Deyarmin, both of Lucernemines; brothers, Joseph (Iris) D’Aurelio, St. Jupiter, FL, Edward, D’Aurelio, Indiana; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Florence Gnibus; and a brother, Louis D’Aurelio
Friends will be received on Thursday from 2 to 6 p.m. at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home. A blessing service will be conducted on Friday at 1 p.m. in the Lefdahl Chapel with Father Andy Gumangan as celebrant.
Interment will in the Greenwood Cemetery will be private.
