Thomas S. Anderson, 80, Plumville, passed away Thursday, March 1, 2018 at his home surrounded by the love and prayers of his family.
The son of Stanley and Delsie (Kirkpatrick) Anderson, he was born September 16, 1937 in South Mahoning Township.
Tom’s interests included spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed sitting on the swing visiting with neighbors and family on warm summer days. Tom was also proud to be member of Mason Lodge 313. He was employed at McCreery Tire for numerous years prior to owning and operating, Plumville Sporters for 25 years with his wife, Martha.
Tom married Martha A. Steele on June 6, 1959. They spent 52 wonderful years together before Martha’s passing in January of 2011.
Surviving is a son, Brian “Smiley” Anderson and wife, Mitzie; a daughter, Rita Yeomans and husband, Lyndon; three grandchildren, Lindsey Sawyer and husband, Ryen, Matthew Yeomans and wife, Laura, and Megan Bloom and husband, Chris; and one great-grandchild, Benjamin Yeomans.
Preceding Tom in death were his parents; wife, Martha; brothers, Ralph, John, Howard, and Dale; and sisters, Nancy, Irene, and Martha.
The family would like to thank Scenery Hill and 365 Hospice Care and all those who shared their kindness and prayers.
Tom was a wonderful man who will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him.
Friends will be received on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted on Monday at 11 a.m. in the Lefdahl Chapel with Rev. Micah McMillen, officiating.
Interment in the Smicksburg Cemetery will follow.
