Russell Wayne Lambing, 78, Home, died Friday, September 28, 2018 at the Indiana Regional Medical Center.
The son of William Paul and Sarah A. (Postalwaite) Lambing, he was born November 16, 1939 in Dixonville, PA.
Russell was a graduate of Marion Center Area High School. He later joined the Navy and served as an Interior Communications Specialist on board the USS Randolph. Russell was a truck driver for many years. He also owned and operated L&S Supply (sporting goods) and a Christmas Tree Farm.
For many years Russ attending the Holiness Gospel Center. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting and shooting ground hogs. Most importantly, he loved his family, especially his grandchildren.
Surviving is his wife, Priscilla (Ramage) Lambing, Home; children, Sharon “Sherry” (David) Steffy, Home, Russell Lambing Jr., Vandergrift, and Jennifer (Terry) McCunn, Indiana; grandchildren, Andy and his wife Dana, Jessica and her husband, Bryan, Phillip, Anna, Megan, Erik, and Tessa; great grandchildren, Jakob, Casey, Zoey, Cali, and Hunter; a sister, Pauline Schurr; a brother, Dennis (Linda) Lambing; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding Russell in death were his parents; sisters, Bethea and Faye; brothers, William and Charles.
Friends will be received on Monday from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 pm at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home, Indiana. Funeral service will immediately follow in the Lefdahl Chapel with Rev. Kal Henry, officiating.
Interment in the Marion Center Cemetery will be private.
