Robert W. McKenney

Robert W. McKenney Jr., 92, Indiana, died peacefully on Friday, January 25, 2019, while at St. Andrews Village.

Son of Robert W. and Norma McKenney,  Robert was born May 2, 1926 in Baltimore, MD.

He retired from Exxon Corporation where he worked for 30 years.  He was a veteran of the Army Air Corp, serving proudly during WWII.  Robert graduated from Johns Hopkins University, where he received the Phi Beta Kappa, outstanding scholarship key. Robert attended Indiana Wesleyan Methodist Church.

Surviving are his children, Robert McKenney of New Mexico and Carolyn Marie Candebat, of Indianapolis, IN, grandson Devereaux Andre Candebat, Indianapolis, IN.; and two great grandchildren, Jadelynn Nicole Candebat and Liam Hunter Candebat,  Indianapolis, IN

Preceding Mr. McKenney in death were his parents, his wife of 61 years, Frances Marie McKenney, and sister, Nancy Cooper of Baltimore, MD.

Friends will be received on Thursday January 31st, from 9a.m. to 10a.m. with funeral service to immediately follow in the Lefdahl Chapel with Rev. Joseph Smith, officiating. 

A private interment will follow in Virginia.
