Nathan Dee Griffith, 36, of Marion Center, Pa., passed away unexpectedly on July 22, 2019 in Wexford, Pa., and is now resting in the arms of our Lord and Savior.
Nathan was born March 18, 1983 in Indiana, Pennsylvania, the son of Jack and Paula (Doyle) Griffith. Nathan graduated from Marion Center High School in 2001, where he was successful academically as well as athletically in Cross Country and Wrestling. He earned a BS from IUP in 2006. Nathan took great pride in sharing his knowledge and love of wrestling through coaching. Nathan is fondly remembered for having a heart of gold and making everyone he encountered feel like family. Nathan made sure his love of his family and friends did not go unnoticed. He was an avid traveler and his faith was his everything.
Nathan is survived by his parents Jack and Paula; siblings: Victor Nitecki (Elena); Julie Beeler (Jeffrey), Kevin Griffith (Sarah), and LuAnn (Pete) Cronauer. Nephews and Nieces: Draven and Rylee Nitecki; Lucas, Bryce and Pavynn Beeler; Carter, Grace, and Sadie Griffith. Nathan leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, and very dear friends.
Nathan was preceded in death by grandparents Dee and Marie (Smith) Griffith, Thomas F. ‘Irish’ and Esther ‘Chub’ (Black) Doyle, Brothers Timothy W. Griffith, Jack D. Griffith Jr, Aunt Valerie Doyle, Uncle Joseph L. Doyle, nephew Lee Aaron Walker.
Arrangements are being handled by the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home, Indiana Pa. The family will receive friends beginning Thursday, July 25 from 6 to 8pm, Friday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm. Funeral service will be conducted Saturday morning 11am in the Lefdahl Chapel with Rev. Kathy Mihoerck officiating.
Interment will follow in the Marion Center Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution may be made to Marion Center National Bank where a scholarship will be created in his name through Marion Center High School Athletic Dept.
