Mary Ellen (Huesgen) Noel, 59, of Cresson, PA passed away Saturday, October 21, 2017 while at Altoona Hospital.

The daughter of Eugene Leo and Mary Ann (Smith) Huesgen, she was born August 1, 1958 in Greensburg, PA.

She was employed at Torrance State Hospital and Ebensburg State Hospital as a social worker and a supervisor with mentally ill patients, from which she retired in 2012.

Mary had a great love for fun, for the beach, and doing things with her son, Jacob, but her passion was for motorcycles.  Well known as "Sidecar Mary", recognized by her pink helmet while riding her Harley Road King, with a sidecar attached.  Mary was a lifetime member of Abate Cambria Summit Chapter 19, District 5, and a member of the Hog Club.

Surviving is her beloved son, Jacob; sisters, Amy (Doug) Wilson, Blairsville, Jean Marie, Palm City FL; a niece, Dakota Lea Huesgen, Jacksonville, FL; and her very dear and special friend, Rick Kipe, Amberson, PA.  She will be sadly missed by Sarge, Jacob's little dog who she loved very much, many friends, and her family.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Mary; both maternal and paternal grandparents; brothers, George and John; sister, Patricia; and her special cat, Boots.

Friends and family will gather on Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home to celebrate Mary's life.  A memorial service will immediately follow in the Lefdahl Chapel with Rev. Micah McMillen, officiating. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are being accepted on behalf of Mary's son, Jacob.
