Marian Louise Dixon-Bidleman, 99, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2019 while at Communities at Indian Haven.
The daughter of Fred and Winifred (Mallon) Kuchenbrod, she was born October 5, 1919 in Wehrum, Pa.
Marian was a graduate of Johnstown High School class of 1937. She attended the Blacklick Community Methodist Church as a child and was a current member. Marian was a former member of the Cramer United Methodist Church where she volunteered and taught Sunday school, Calvary United Methodist Church in Johnstown and Armagh United Methodist Church. She was an avid sewer who also liked to read and do crossword puzzles. She enjoyed classical music and the Johnstown Symphony. Marian was a great baker, especially holiday fruitcake and nut rolls. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Surviving are her children, Lanny (Billie) Dixon, Vintondale and Rebecca (Donald) Becker, Indiana; grandchildren, Lani (Robert) Sheesley, Vintondale, Deanne (Charles) Huczko, Greensburg, Eric (Andrea) Dixon, Vintondale, Patrick (Kristen) Becker, Severna Park, MD, Jeremy (Tara) Becker, Youngwood, PA, Drew (Jennifer) Becker, Fredericksburg, VA, great grandchildren, Andrew and Eden Lydick, both of Vintondale, Julia and Nate Huczko, both of Greensburg, Jakob and Erika Dixon, both of Vintondale, Connor, Carlee, and Liam Becker, all of Severna Park, MD, Owen, Ella, Elizabeth “Libby”, Adeline, and Violet Becker, all of Fredericksburg, VA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Marian was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, John Dixon; second husband, Raymond Bidleman; three sisters, Helen, Hulda, and Lucille; and three brothers, Russell, Carl, and Wilfred.
Friends are invited to gather to pay their respects on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home. An additional hour of gathering will be held on Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. with a memorial service to immediately follow at the Blacklick Methodist Church, 1488 Bracken Road, Vintondale with Pastor Tom Phillips, officiating.
Interment will be at the Blacklick United Methodist Cemetery.
