Luther James Jack Sr., 69, Indiana, died Monday, October 7, 2019, at the Indiana Regional Medical Center.
The son of William and Helen (Ondo) Jack he was born November 4, 1949 in Creekside.
Luther was employed as a coal miner for most of his life and had been employed by Season All Industries. His interests included hunting and fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving is his wife, Rosie Jean (Mogle) Jack, Indiana; children, Georgette Wood and her husband, Rick, Inwood, WV, Ronda Hine, Elysburg, PA, Luther Jack Jr. and fiancée, Loretta Conti, Indiana, and Lori Jack and fiancée, Jim Shirley, Sussex, NJ; grandchildren, Stephanie Thomas and her husband, Chris, Martinsburg, WV, Samantha Ladd and her husband, Kyle, Clarksville, TN, Justin, Cory, and Brad Hine, Elysburg, PA, Josh, Kelsey, and Amanda Jack, all of Indiana, PA, Brandon Henry, Dakota, Sheyanne, and Hunter Hozak, all of Indiana; numerous great grandchildren; brothers, William E. Jack and his wife, Sharon, Creekside, Earl Jack and his significant other, Eleanor Adamson, Creekside, David Jack, Shelocta, PA, and Dr. Jonathan Jack, Creekside, PA; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Preceding Luther in death were his parents; great grandchildren, Trent Hine and AnneMarie Ladd.
Friends will be received on Friday from 11a.m. to 1 p.m. at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home, Indiana. Funeral service will immediately follow in the Lefdahl Chapel with Elder Stan Webb, officiating.
Interment will follow in the Oakland Cemetery.
