Leona Adele Kreiner, 86, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, August 14, 2018 while at St. Andrew’s Village, Indiana, PA.
The daughter of Robert Leaman and Minnie Belle (Riley) Snider, she was born May 19, 1932 in Herndon, VA.
Leona was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Aberdeen, MD. She was known as the “cookie lady” because her sugar cookies were highly requested at church functions, and she also enjoyed sharing them with friends, the elderly, or anyone who needed a smile. Leona was an avid reader who loved taking care of her family and home. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.
Surviving is her daughter, Karen (Scott) Salser, Indiana and a granddaughter, Delia Salser, Indiana.
Leona was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward Thomas, Sr.; son, Edward Thomas, Jr.; 3 sisters; and 2 brothers.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home, Indiana.
A memorial service will be conducted at the Grace United Methodist Church, 110 W Bel Air Avenue, Aberdeen, MD on Saturday, September 8 at 10 a.m.
