Kenneth Ray Turnbull, 78, Saltsburg, died Friday, June 22, 2018 while at the UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh peacefully surrounded by his loving family.
Kenny was born on October 2, 1939 in Clarksburg, Pa to Henry and Mae (Miller) Turnbull.
Kenny was a graduate of Elders Ridge High School and had been employed by Reynolds Manufacturing in Avonmore. He was a member of the Saltsburg American Legion, Indiana Loyal Order of the Moose, Lodge 174, and Iron Workers Local 851. His interests included playing horseshoes, and being in the outdoors. He will be sadly missed, especially by his grandchildren.
Surviving are his children, Kerry Edward Turnbull and fiancée, Dale Hanish, Dover, DE, Thomas R. (Kimberly) Turnbull, Brenda (Jason) Hamacek, and Ronda Bendis and her partner, Greg Cook, all of Clarksburg; grandchildren, Jessica Fatta and her partner, Roy Hitzeman, Augusta, GA, Jennifer Chronoski, Clarksburg, Jake Turnbull, Dover, DE, Tyler, Nicole, and Taylor Bendis, Clarksburg; brothers, William (Dolly) Turnbull, Clarksburg, Daniel (Sandy) Jakosh, Clarksburg; sisters, Irene Thomas, VA, Betty (Robert) Long, Brookville, PA; sisters-in-law, Joyce Turnbull, Indiana, and Ruth Turnbull, Rochester Mills; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding Kenny in death were his parents; brothers, Russell “Buck”, James and Robert Turnbull; sister, Frances Zelinski; and daughter-in-law, Tucker Turnbull.
Friends will be received on Monday, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home, Indiana. Funeral service will be conducted Tuesday morning, 11 am in the Lefdahl Chapel with Rev. Micah McMillen, officiating.
Interment will follow in the Islen Union Cemetery.
