Judith Rising Obituary

Whitesburg--Judith M. (Scott) Rising, a long-time resident of the Whitesburg area, died at the age of 69 on Sunday the 18th of February at home.

Born on August 25th 1948, Judy married Richard Rising on the 23rd of October 1965 and spent her days raising three children.

In the past, Judy enjoyed working at the Armstrong County Memorial Hospital where she served as a waitress in the snack bar.

Judy loved making her home beautiful, shopping, and spending time with her loved ones. She was a faithful and loyal woman who loved to meet the needs of those around her. She had a fun sense of humor and her laugh was contagious. Judy and Richard ran the race of marriage for 52 years through the best of times and also through the worst of times, leaving behind a legacy of love that endured to the end. Judy had a fierce love for her grandchildren and lit up at the mention of their names. Judy was a loved woman by all who truly knew her and she will greatly missed.

Surviving are her husband Richard M. Rising; mother Larue Scott; daughter Amy Dosch from West Palm Beach Florida along with her husband Keith and three children Nicole, Brandon and Matthew; son Scott Rising from Elderton Pennsylvania along with his wife Jessica and their daughter Sarah. Also surviving are Judy's brothers John Scott along with his wife Betty and David Scott along with his wife Joann.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Cindy; her father Paul Scott; her brother William Scott; sister in law Toni Scott and an infant sister.
