Jonathan Thompson Obituary

Jonathan Frederick Thompson, 52, Homer City, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 while at St. Clair Hospital, Pittsburgh.

The son of Carol A. (Bavone) Brezinski, he was born February 25, 1966 in Indiana, PA.

Jon was a member of the St. Louis Church in Lucerne. He excelled at masonry work and loved caring for his dogs.

Surviving is his mother; stepfather, Gary N. Brezinski, Homer City; sisters, JoAnn C. Thompson, Indiana and Amanda J. (Ashley) Machis and her husband, Christopher, Baltimore, MD; nephews, Dakota and Denver Machis, Baltimore, MD; uncle, Cook (Bernice) Bavone; step-uncles, Greg (Joanne) Brezinski and Mark (Monica) Brezinski; cousin, Fred Bavone; and various step-siblings.

Preceding Jonathan in death were his maternal grandparents, Jennie and Fred Bavone and paternal grandmother, Alice C. Thompson.

Friends will be received on Sunday from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7p.m. at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow in the Lefdahl Chapel.
