Jonathan Cingota

Jonathan Mark Cingota, 46, passed from this earth on Monday, January 29, 2018.

The beloved son of Donna and Jan Cingota, was born June 20, 1972 in Natrona Heights Allegheny County.

In his youth he was active in Boy Scout Troop 133 and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout.  Jonathan graduated from Indiana High School in 1990 and from IUP with a B.S. degree in Biology.  He worked for Sylvan Mushroom Research and Development.  Jonathan owned and operated Mushrooms for Life for 17 years.  He also worked for Alaska for two years as a NOAA government fish inspector in 2004-2006.  Currently Jonathan was a manager at the Firehouse restaurant in Indiana, PA.  He was best known for growing and foraging wild mushrooms.

Jonathan leaves behind his mother, Donna Cingota, Indiana; sister, Kimberly Rencewicz; brother-in-law, Rob Rencewicz; nephew, Aidan; and a niece, Ava Rencewicz all of Baltimore, MD.

Preceding Jonathan in death was his father.

Funeral arrangements are private and under the direction of the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home.
