John Weldon Waldenville Jr., 69, Ernest, died Monday, January 8, 2018 at the Allegheny General Hospital.

The son of John Weldon and Emma Catherine (Schantz) Waldenville, he was born February 12, 1948 in Shearsburg, PA.

John was a loving and devoted husband and father. He loved to participate in all sports and was well known in all the local softball leagues for the past 55 years. John was an avid reader and was a professional artist who operated his own art studio, Waldenville Art Studio.

Surviving is his wife of 44 years, Sandra Mae (Duchon) Waldenville, Ernest; daughter Heidi (Rodney) Gaston, Blairsville; twin brothers, Timothy and Thomas Waldenville; sisters, Judy (Ken) Cites, Janet (Jose) Gutierrez, Barbara Jean (Paul) Andrews, Peggy (Ted) Henry; sister-in-law, Marcy Waldenville, her daughter, Sarah (Shawn) Campbell; her son, Jesse (Shannon Escalante) and their daughter Vivianna; and numerous nieces and nephews and great nephews

Preceding John in death were his parents; brother, Kenneth W. Waldenville; and infant brothers, Stanley and Jesse.

Friends will be received on Wednesday from 3 to 6 pm at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home, Indiana. Funeral service will immediately follow in the Lefdahl Chapel with Reverend Drs. Scot and Tammy Pifer, officiating. Interment in the Greenwood Cemetery will be private.
