James Harry Schreckengost Sr.

James Harry Schreckengost, Sr, 76, Homer City, passed away Monday, March 5, 2018 at Indiana Regional Medical Center.

The son of Fred and Grace (Simmers) Schreckengost, he was born January 31, 1942, in Creekside, PA.

James enjoyed fishing and working on cars.  He owned an auto body repair business for many years.  James served in the Army for three years.  He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

Surviving is his wife, Arlene (Deemer) Schreckengost; children, James Schreckengost, Jr., Sally Schreckengost, and Erik Schreckengost and his wife, Annoria; grandchildren, Isaiah, Elvira, Mariska, and Maya Schreckengost; two brothers, Kenneth (Shirley) Schreckengost and Harold (Terry) Schreckengost; and a sister, Frances VanHorn. 

James was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends will be received on Friday from 12 to 2 p.m. at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home.  A funeral service will immediately follow in the Lefdahl Chapel with Rev. Micah McMillen, officiating. 

Interment in the Greenwood Cemetery will be private.
