Jack Ronald Alderson, 71, died Sunday, August 12, 2018, while at the Butler Memorial Hospital.
The son of Joseph and Recie (Waller) Alderson, he was born February 20, 1947 in Chicago, IL.
Jack was a career serviceman who served in the United States Army for over 20 years. He served in the Intel unit as well as Special Forces. Jack was a member of the VFW and Eagles. He was an avid Bears fan. Jack will be remembered as a loving father and grandfather.
Surviving is his significant other, Mary Oberhu; children, Karen S. Coleman, Sherry L. Wentling, Jack “Randy” Alderson, Catherine (Timothy, Jr.) Steffish, Christina Blystone, Johnathan Blystone, Zachary Blystone; grandchildren, Recie E. Alderson, Kayla J. Wentling, Angel Steffish, Caleb Steffish, Anna Gardner, Madison Steffish, Nathaniel Alderson, Gabby Blystone, Rachel Steffish; sisters, Shirley “Sherls”, Betty, Debbie “Debs”; brothers, Stewart “Stew”, Lacy “Red”, Bobby “Bob; close friend, Betty Alderson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Timberlynn Steffish; 3 brothers; and 1 sister.
Friends will be received on Wednesday from 4 to 6 pm at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home, Indiana where funeral services will immediately follow in the Lefdahl Chapel.
