Harry Blair Davis, Jr., 58, Shelocta, passed away Thursday, December 21, 2017 while at St. Andrew’s Village after a courageous battle with brain cancer.

The son of Harry Blair and Doris Jean (Dies) Davis, Sr., he was born August 17, 1959 in Indiana, PA.

Harry was employed by Pennsylvania Barbeque as a kitchen manager and prior to that, by Aramark at IUP for many years.  He was a member of the Keystone Sportsman’s Club and the Indiana Moose Lodge #174.  Harry enjoyed the outdoors especially hunting.

Surviving is his wife of 29 years, Valerie (Foltz) Davis; father-in-law Joe McCracken; sisters, Debbie Lantzy, Cynthia Davis, and Vonnie (Jim) Shirley; a brother, Jeff Jones; nieces and nephews, Valerie and Jeremy Lantzy, Kim Nicklow, Jim Shirley, Jr., Rob Gaskill, Cody McDannell, Gabriella and Marayna Jones, Tommy, Maddy, and Alayna Morris; sister-in-law, Jacqueline Morris; several great nephews and a great great-niece; as well as many lifelong friends including Dwight and Duane Harper. Although Harry and Valerie did not have children of their own, he was "Uncle Harry" to many of his friends' children.

Harry was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Karen Davis, nephew, Jason Lantzy, mother-in-law, Ruth McCracken, and his father-in-law, Allen Foltz and his significant other, Naomi Harper.

Family and friends will gather on Wednesday December 27th from 6 to 8 p.m. at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home to celebrate Harry’s life. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Keystone Sportsman’s Club, C/O Randy McCoy, 98 Hollow Road, Creekside, PA 15732 for the Hunt of a Lifetime fund.
