Gay Kunkle Obituary

OBITUARY:

The angels from heaven came and took our precious Angel, Gay Lynn (Gail) Kunkle (Wingrove) to be with the dear Lord, our Savior, after a battle with cancer. Gail passed away Thursday, June 20, 2019, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on November 12th, 1968 in Indiana, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Harry F. Wingrove and the late Deloris (Dee) Marie (Colish) Wingrove.

Gail lived her entire life in the Indiana and Creekside areas and she graduated from Marion Center Area High School in 1987. She was a loving wife and mother to her beloved husband and children. Her grandchildren brought much joy and love to her life. She spent much of her time doting on them. She enjoyed spending time with her family and especially enjoyed attending the many activities of her children and grandchildren. Gail also enjoyed going on cruises with her husband and spending most of the summer months outside gardening and playing with her grandchildren.  Gail was also an active volunteer for the Marion Center Area High School Marching Band and The Creekside Sparks and Flames Drill Team.

Gail is survived by her father, Harry F. Wingrove;  beloved husband, Terry Lee Kunkle; their three children, Craig (Keisha) Brocious of Shelocta; Gary (Emily) Kunkle of Ernest, and Alexa Kunkle of Creekside; father, Harry F. Wingrove; five grandchildren Brooklyn and Amelia Brocious; Jenna Vivian, Hunter and Remington Kunkle; brother Thomas (Tina) Wingrove; sister Tamra (Tim) Smail; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Gail was preceded in death by her mother, Deloris (Dee) Wingrove of Indiana, Pennsylvania.

Friends will be received on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home, Indiana, PA.  An additional hour of viewing will be held Monday morning, 10 to 11 am with funeral service to immediately follow in the Lefdahl Chapel with Pastor Robert Kephart, officiating.

Interment will be private.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses and aides who cared for Gail, especially Dr. Raminetti, Dr. Barnacle, and 365 Hospice for their loving care.
