Gary Thompson Obituary

Gary Paul Thompson, 65, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 20, 2020 while at his residence.

The son of Paul and Ruby (Laney) Thompson, he was born November 12, 1954 in Spangler, PA.

Gary was a veteran of the United States Army. He was employed by R&P Coal Company for over 18 years and Specialty Tires of America for 21 years. Gary’s favorite past time was riding his motorcycle with his wife. He enjoyed hunting but especially enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters. Gary will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and pappy.

Surviving are his parents, Paul and Ruby (Laney) Thompson, Indiana; wife of 43 years, Margaret (Arthur) Thompson, Indiana; daughter, Donna (Brian) McIntyre, Kittanning; grandchildren, Kiley and Kaitlyn McIntyre, Kittanning; brother, Roger (Beth) Thompson, Arlington, WA; sister, Wanda (Don) Bothell, Creekside; brother-in-law, Steven (Rebecca) Arthur, Logan, OH; niece, Jennifer Michaud, Arlington, WA; and nephews, Dennis Bothell, Creekside, Walter (Kayla) Arthur, Gallipolis, OH, Johnathan Arthur, Gallipolis, OH, and Matthew (Elizabeth) Arthur, Vinton, OH.

Funeral arrangements are private and under the direction of the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home.
