Gary Bruce Dickie died Monday, October 2, 2017 at West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh.  With the peace of God, he departed this life in the presence of his family.

The son of Donald and Alice (Donnelly) Dickie, he was born May 24, 1949 in Indiana, PA.

Gary was a member of the graduating class of 1967 at Indiana High School.  Gary participated in sports and excelled as a baseball player during his youth, playing many years on a little league team coached by his father and then in the Indiana County League.  For the past 35 years Gary has been a member at the Indiana Country Club where he followed his passion on the golf course.  He was an avid golfer, a sport he started to play as a young boy with his father, mother and brother, David.  Many Sunday afternoons were spent on the golf course with his family.  As an adult he enjoyed spending time with his golfing friends at the ICC and on yearly golf trips south during the winter months.

Gary followed in the family tradition to work as an electrical contractor.  His grandfather and father were both electrical contractors.  Gary established A/C Electric and provided services to his many private and commercial customers for over 40 years.

Gary will be missed by the following family members who will remember his quick Irish humor, the blue eyes and his willingness to help family members when needed:  his mother, Alice Dickie; wife, Linda (Harvey) Dickie; sister, Donna (Wallace) Putt; sister-in-law, Barbara (David) Dickie; sister-in-law, Cindy (Timo) Mahnke; brother-in-law, Peter (Tammy) Harvey.

The following nieces and nephews:  Stephanie (Erin) Walker, Ryan and Brady Walker, Stephen (Amber) Putt, Lawson and Leighton Putt, Erika (David) Garcia, Dominik Garcia, Candice (Adam) Lenkowsky, Andrew and Jack Lenkowsky, Anthony (Rachael) Latore, Case and Carter Latore, Nicole Latore, Dylan Latore and Lance Fennel, Louis (Samatha) Gazzale, Niko (Devan Marie) Gazzale, Paisley Marie Gazzale, Matteo Gazzale, Heather and Megan Harvey.

Gary was preceded in death by his father, Donald and brother, David.

Family and friends are invited to come together from 10 to 11 a.m., Saturday, October 21, 2017 at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home, to celebrate Gary’s life.  A blessing service will immediately follow in the Lefdahl Chapel with Father Thomas Federline as celebrant.
