Eleanor “Martha” (Bennett) Miller, 81, Marion Center, passed away Friday, January 26, 2018 at the Indiana Regional Medical Center.
The daughter of William Henry and Sadie Elizabeth (Rice) Bennett, she was born October 24, 1936 in Beccaria Township.
Martha was a member of the American Legion. She enjoyed canning, gardening, reading, and puzzles. Martha was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who raised many wonderful children.
Surviving are her children David (Carol) Miller, Marion Center and Maynard L. Miller, Commodore; grandchildren, Leona Johnson, Marion Center, who was also Martha’s primary caregiver, Hope (Mike) Millar, Cherry Tree, Nathan (Lori) Miller, Home, and Steven (Pam) Miller, Aultman; great grandchildren, Austin Buterbaugh and his significant other, Morgan Wilson, Shania Lemmon, Kayla Lemmon and her fiancée, Charles Keith, Maleia Miller, Landen Miller, Dustin Miller and Cole Miller; foster son, Bruce M. Saltsgiver, Marion Center; sister, Elzina Hazel, Sandy Ridge, PA; brother, Thomas (Hilda) Bennett, Clearfield; daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Poeta, Rossiter; sister-in-law, Barbara Bennett, Clearfield; caregiver, Becky Vos, Mahaffey; two dogs, Racer and Prancer; and many nieces and nephews.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Maynard Miller; numerous brothers and sisters; and her best friend, Sarah Martha Blystone.
Friends will be received on Sunday from 12 to 2 at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow in the Lefdahl Chapel with Rev. Micah McMillen, officiating.
Interment in the Marion Center Cemetery will be private.
