Douglas Chris Craig, 55, Shelocta, died as the result of an automobile accident on Wednesday, March 6, 2019.
The son of Max T. and Jane E. (Collins) Craig, he was born March 10, 1963 in Indiana, PA.
Douglas was a graduate of Apollo Ridge High School. He was employed many years by Sharp Paving. Later he was the owner and operator of Doug C. Craig Trucking, and most recently was employed as a supervisor for TMS International.
Spending time with family and great friends at camp in Tionesta was one of Doug’s favorite hobbies. He was a motor crosser, an excellent golfer and an avid sports fan. Doug shared many travel adventures with his wife, friends, and family.
Douglas is survived by his parents, Max and Jane Craig; wife, Carol Ann (Bash) Craig; sons, Joseph D. (Sarah) Craig and Peter L. (Kathleen) Craig; siblings, Randy M. (Elaine) Craig and Bradley L. Craig; sister-in-law, Susan Bash; mother-in-law, Helen (Merv) Snyder; nieces and nephews, Ryan (LeAnne) Craig, Meghan (JR) Young, Erica Craig and fiancée, Alex, Erin (Tom) Creveling, Scott (Allie) Craig, Cort McCurdy and his friend, Kyra, Melissa McCurdy and her fiancée, Eric; numerous great nieces and nephews; and many close friends.
Preceding Douglas in death were his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Friends will be received on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home. An additional hour of viewing will be conducted on Sunday from 11:30 to 12:30 p.m. with the funeral service to immediately follow in the Lefdahl Chapel with Pastor Kathy Nice, officiating.
Interment will follow in the West Lebanon Cemetery.
