Dean Wayne Black, 63, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 28, 2017.

The son of Blair Richard and Elizabeth Caroline (North) Black, he was born December 8, 1953 in Indiana, PA.

Dean was self-employed for many years.  He was a jack of all trades and was a hard worker.  Dean will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

Surviving is his wife of 44 years, Sandra; daughters, Betsy A. (DJ) Boldo, Lancaster, OH and Amanda L. (David) Crane, Saltsburg; grandchildren, Kortney, Brittney, Anthony and Nathaniel Boldo, Lancaster, OH and Jordan, Dustin, and Kenny Crane, Saltsburg; sisters, Judy (Tom) Silvis, Indiana, Lois McKenzie, OH, and Carol (Pete) Kostella, Indiana; a brother, Van Black, Indiana; nephews, Jeff Silvis, Indiana and Darryl Silvis, Brush Valley; and a niece, Julie Ann (Rick) Henry, Indiana.

Dean was precede in death by his parents and a nephew, Kenneth Silvis.

Friends will be received on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home.  A funeral service immediately following in the Lefdahl Chapel with Rev. Micah McMillen, officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home to assist with funeral costs.
