Danny Carnahan

Danny V. Carnahan, 70, Indiana, died Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

The son of Merle and Helen (Blystone) Carnahan, he was born January 28, 1948 in Indiana, PA.

Danny was employed by Robertshaw, worked 25 years as a coalminer, and then owned and operated Indiana Delivery Service. His interests included spending time with family and friends, vacationing, and walking his dogs. Danny will be remembered as a kind and fun loving man whose family meant the world to him.

Surviving is his wife of 49 years, Mary Regina (O’Hara) Carnahan; sons Jason and Jamie (Butler) Carnahan, Johnathan and Kristi (Craig) Carnahan, and Patrick Carnahan and his companion, Marcie Stokes; six grandchildren, Chase, Camryn, Avery, Amelia, Sophia, and Cecilia; a sister, Caroline (Kelly) Lewis; and a brother, Benny (Tammy) Reckhart.

Preceding Danny in death were his parents; sister, Ruby Carnahan Davis; and brother, Jim Carnahan.

Friends will be received on Sunday from 1 to 4 pm at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home, Indiana. Funeral service will immediately follow at 4 pm in the Lefdahl Chapel with Rev. Micah McMillen, officiating.

Because of Danny’s love of animals he requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to either Four Footed Friends or the Indiana County Humane Society.
