Dallas Ray Wood

Dallas Ray Wood, 73, Indiana, died Tuesday, November 19, 2019, at his residence with his family by his side.

The son of James and Dorothy (Pegram) Wood, he was born July 19, 1946, in Winston-Salem, N.C.

Ray was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a hard worker and master of many trades. In his free time, Ray enjoyed watching Westerns, working on the farm, traveling, and spending time with his family.

Surviving are his wife Loretta (Hankinson) Wood; children, Kelly Wood, Indiana, Christen Butterworth and her husband Bradley, Indiana, and David Wood, Baltimore, MD; grandchildren, Collin and his fiancée Jillian Mathews, Brooke, and Samantha, all of Indiana; brothers, James "Jay" Wood and his wife Lorraine, Washington, Roger Wood and his wife Mary, Florida, and Lawrence Wood, Creekside; sister-in-law, Vickie Price, N.C.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Jeffrey; and a sister-in-law, Marjorie Wood.

Friends are invited to offer their condolences from 1 to 2 pm Saturday (Nov. 23) at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home. A memorial service will immediately follow in the Lefdahl Chapel with Rev. Micah McMillen, officiating.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Visiting Nurse Association of Indiana County.
