Carolyn R Lewis

Carolyn R. “Kelly” Lewis, 86, of Indiana, passed away on Thursday March 14, 2024 at the Indiana Hospital.

She was born February 11, 1938 to Merle and Helen (Blystone) Carnahan in Indiana.

Kelly was a member of St. Bernard of Clairvaux Catholic Church, Indiana. She worked 48 years at J.C. Penny’s as the catalog manager. After her retirement she enjoyed traveling with her fiancé Dan and her dog Shoney. She was an artist in her own, with many hours with her adult pencil book and was a “wiz” at word find puzzles. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and her kitties.

She is survived by a daughter Rhonda L. Lewis, Indiana, a daughter-in-law Valerie Lewis-Harper (Duane), all of Indiana and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Richard Lewis in 1999, a son Jeffrey S. Lewis, an infant daughter, Shelly A. Lewis, a grandson Joseph M. Lewis, two brothers, James Carnahan, Danny Carnahan, a sister, Ruby Davis and her fiancé Dan Gromley.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 from 3:00 PM, until the time of the prayer service at 5:00 PM at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home, 898 Old Hwy 119 N., Indiana, PA 15701.
