Vaughn H. Dotts, 87, West Lebanon, passed away Thursday, September 28, 2017, at the Indiana Regional Medical Center.

The son of George and Lida (Stull) Dotts, he was born April 3, 1930, in Aultman.

Vaughn was an avid horseshoe player and a member of the Shelocta Horseshoe Club. His interests also included bowling, wood carving, hunting, caning, crossword puzzles, and traveling.  Vaughn also served in the Navy during the Korean Conflict.

Surviving is his special friend and companion, Eleanor Weston, Shelocta; children, Debra Lynn Dotts-Anderson, Blairsville, Darian Lee (Dorothy) Dotts, Commodore, Dell Lester (Jodi) Dotts, Creekside, and Devona Lois (Todd) Percic, Saltsburg.; grandchildren, Adam Lee (Brittney) Dotts, Tyler Anthony Dotts, Kristy Lynn and Katie Rose Dotts, Kayla Marie and Michael Dakota Percic; great grandchildren, Coy and Adley Dotts; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding Vaughn in death were his parents; wife, Rose Marie (Nagg) Dotts; brothers, William, Bruce, and Quinn; sisters, Dorothy, Lois, and Ruth; and son-in-law, Robert Anderson.

Friends will be received on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home, Indiana. Funeral service will be conducted Monday morning, 11 am in the Lefdahl Chapel will Rev. Micah McMillen, officiating.

Interment will follow in the Oakland Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the numerus people who assisted in dad’s care. In lieu of flowers, it was Vaughn’s wish to have memorial donations made to the American Red Cross.
