Rudolph “Rudy” Albert Steffish, 46, Indiana, passed away August 9, 2016 at the Indiana Regional Medical Center.

The son of John J. and Alice (Hughes) Steffish, he was born April 22, 1970 in Indiana, PA.

Rudy was a member of the Calvary Presbyterian Church and served as a member of the bell choir.  He was employed as a trainer for Uptown Fitness.  Rudy had been community minded and was on the back-to-school bash committee.  In his free time, he enjoyed collecting records, listening to music, and attending coffee each morning with his lady friends.  He will be remembered as a published author and as an escape artist.

Surviving is his sister, Alice Balogh and her fiancée, Kenneth Putt, Clymer; brothers, John Eric Steffish, Indiana, Timothy Steffish and wife, Rebecca, Indiana, and Andrew Paul Steffish and husband, Samuel Grady, Melvern, PA; nieces, Cassey Bazala and husband, Jason, Indiana, Nicole Bouch, Johnstown, and Ashley Cherry, Indiana; nephews, Timothy Joseph Steffish, Jr. and wife, Catherine, Creekside, Bradley Daniels Steffish-Balogh and fiancée Mallory, Indiana, Daniel Cherry, Indiana, Cory Putt, Commodore; Co-Godparent, Denise Gromley; his work and church family; and pets, Daisie Mae and Odysseus Rutherford.

Preceding Rudy in death were his parents; nephew and godson, John Balogh.

Friends will be received on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home, Indiana.  A memorial service will be conducted on Saturday morning in the Calvary Presbyterian Church, Indiana, at 11 am with Rev. David Hanna, officiating.
