Robert Eugene Wissinger, 88, Indiana, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 25, 2016 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

The son of Emerson and Bessie (Gibson) Wissinger, he was born September 15, 1927 in Clymer, PA.

Robert will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, and all around good guy.  He was a devoted Christian and member of the Curry Run Church in Indiana.  Robert was the owner of Wissinger Farms and was also in the sawmill business for 40 years.

Robert is survived by sons, Gerald “Jerry” Wissinger and wife, Jan, Indiana, James “Jim” Wissinger and wife, Debra, Indiana; a daughter, Tammy Wissinger, Indiana; grandsons, Jacob Wissinger, Indiana and Robert “Rob” Wissinger, FL; granddaughter, Tanya Hodak and husband, Aaron, Indiana; great-grandchildren, Brayden, Blake, Kyle, and Kole Hodak, all of Indiana; sisters, Twila Stiles and husband, Ralph, Homer City and Louise Barrish and husband, John, Indiana; and a very close friend who was more like a son, Dan Yarnick and his family.

Preceding Robert in death were his parents; wife, Maxine; and brothers Harold and Don Wissinger.

Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home, Indiana, PA.  Funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Lefdahl Chapel.

Interment in the Oakland Cemetery will follow.
