Rebecca Marie Markitell, 37, Shelocta, passed away Thursday, December 1, 2016, at her residence.

The daughter of John and Stephanie (Plavi) Markitell, she was born April 22, 1979.

Rebecca was a graduate of Indiana Area High School and attended Daytona College. Her interest included drawing, art, gardening, and welding. Rebecca also loved animals.

Surviving is her fiancée, Ken Whinnery, FL; maternal grandmother, Helen Boucher, Indiana, and paternal grandmother, Marge Markitell, North Apollo; step-grandfather, James Boucher, Shelocta, step-father, Richard Bash, Shelocta; step-sisters, Vicky (Lonn) Hughes, Indiana, and Heather Bash, Blairsville.

Rebecca was preceded in death by her parents and grandfather, Ernie Markitell.

Funeral arrangements will be private and entrusted to the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home, Indiana.
