Phyllis Rainey

Phyllis L. Rainey, 86, Indiana, died Monday, February 19, 2018, while at the Beacon Ridge Nursing Center.

The daughter of Wilbert and Wilhelmina (McMasters) Rainey, she was born August 18, 1931, in NuMine, PA.

Phyllis was a member of the Indiana Wesleyan Methodist Church where she was involved in childrens’ ministries for numerous years.

Surviving are her brothers, Rev. Sheridan Rainey and Wilber “Bill” Rainey; nieces and nephews, Sharon Dehaven, Cheryl (Lowell) Muir, Randy (Christine) Rainey, Thomas Rainey, Wilbur, Danny and Stephen Rainey; best friend, Malinda Eubanks; and her caregiver, Francine.

Preceding Phyllis in death were her parents; sister, Mary Rainey; and nephew, Paul Dehaven.

Friends will be received on Saturday from 10 to 11 am at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home, Indiana. Funeral service will immediately follow in the Lefdahl Chapel with Pastor Ben Blowers, officiating.

Interment in the Montgomery Cemetery will be private.
