Norma Ruth (Hoch) Decker, 79, Indiana, went home to be with God on September 15, 2017.
The daughter of Raymond Thomas and Hazel Elizabeth (Smith) Hoch, she was born September 30, 1937 in Punxsutawney.
Mrs. Decker was a graduate of Indiana Hospital School of Nursing and also a graduate of Anesthesia School in Natrona Heights. She was employed by Indiana Regional Medical Center as a CRNA for 37 years and Miners Hospital, Spangler, for a period of 5 years.
Norma was a member of the First Christian Church in Indiana. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who was also known for her tasty homemade pies and piano playing.
Surviving is her husband Doyle “Joe” Decker; sons, Thomas (Sara) Decker and James (Joi) Decker; grandchildren, Nichole, AJ, Hazel, and Harrison Decker; and brothers, Harold (Carol) Hoch, and Jerry (Cindy) Hoch.
Preceding Mrs. Decker in death were her parents; and her father-in-law, J.M. Decker, who was like a second father.
Friends will be received on Tuesday from 6 to 8 pm at the John A Lefdahl Funeral Home, Indiana. Funeral service will immediately follow in the Lefdahl Chapel with Rev. Jerry Hoch, officiating.
Interment in the Greenwood Cemetery will be private.
