Nancy Arelene George, 76, Indiana, passed away Sunday, April 23, 2017 at the Indiana Regional Medical Center.
The daughter of Joseph H. and Elizabeth (Peron) Kinter, she was born May 1, 1940 in Indiana, PA.
Nancy was a lifetime resident of Homer City and a member of the United Methodist Church of Homer City. Nancy was a graduate of Laura Lamar High School, class of 1959. She had been employed by Sickenberger’s Drug Store, Syntron, King Leather, H & M Enterprises. Nancy also directed the HCUM choir for 29 years. She was also an active member of the music group “The Workshop” that held annual worship and music workshops at Olmsted Manor located in Ludlow, PA.
Surviving is her daughter, Joni E. (George) Tartalone and husband Anthony, Homer City, PA; son Robert J. George and wife Jennifer of Indiana, PA; two grandchildren, Jason A. Tartalone and wife Tara of State College, PA and Nicholas J. Tartalone of Altoona, PA; one great-grandchild, Vincent Tartalone of State College; nephew, William G. Feracioly, Butler, PA; and nieces, Maria H.(Feracioly) Carter, New Brighton, PA, and Agnes N. (Feracioly) Hockenberry and husband Samuel P. of Indiana, PA.
Preceding Nancy in death were her parents; husband, William F.; infant son, William F. George II.; a sister, Pamela Jo (Kinter) Feracioly.
Friends will be received Thursday, April 27th, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home, Indiana, PA. Funeral service will be conducted Friday, April 28th at 11 a.m. in the Lefdahl Chapel with Rev. Dr. Daryl Jeffers, officiating.
Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Olmstead Manor, 17 East Main Street, Ludlow, PA.
