Myrtle Louise Geertson, 85, Indiana (formerly of Homer City), died Sunday, April 23, 2017 while at Indiana Regional Medical Center.

The daughter of Albert and Martha Miller, she was born November 1, 1931 in Graceton, PA.

Myrtle enjoyed traveling, camping and spending time with her grandchildren.  She will be remembered as a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Surviving is her husband, Donald V. Geertson, Indiana; children, Patty Rhoades, Blairsville, Mary Bailey, Indiana, Bob (Libby) Rhoades, Indiana, Connie (Dave) McLlwain, Kittanning, Bonnie (Ron) Tandarick, Mt. Pleasant; step-children, Penny (Charles) Bingle, Union City, PA and Donna (Craig) Webb, Union City, PA; grandchildren, Ashley Bingle, Anchorage, AK, Nicole Webb, Union City, PA, Lori (Jeffery) Yakish, Cranberry Twp, and Joe Rhoades, Indiana; great-grandchildren, Archer and Paisley Yakish, and Joe Rhoades, Jr.

Preceding Myrtle in death were her parents; son, Edward J.; infant sister, Mary; sister, Gertrude Shields; brother, Bob Miller.

Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home with funeral service to immediately follow at 4 p.m. in the Lefdahl Chapel with Rev. Charles F. Williamson, officiating.

Interment in the Oakland Cemetery will be private.
