Marjorie Roland Obituary

Marjorie Adeline Brown Roland passed from this life Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Indiana Regional Medical Center. Born August 30, 1929, she was the daughter of Perry Bert Brown and Arvesta Cora Hanna Brown.

Marjorie lived all of her life in the Indiana area. In her early working years she was employed at King Leather Factory, helping produce gloves and wallets. Later she worked for a number of years at Lezzer Lumber. She and her sister Alberta had many happy moments playing their guitars and singing together. “Marge” was most happy when she was working, especially while helping others; giving of herself and wanting nothing in return. She loved growing flowers and created many beautiful areas of interest around her home.

Surviving Marjorie is her son Bryon Edward Roland (Mary);  two sisters M. Alberta Steele and Marilyn Y. Brown (Art) of Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Paul Edward Roland, as well as 5 siblings: Leona F. Stewart, Glenn O. “Bud” Brown, Betty L. George, her twin brother William T. Brown, and Dorothy A. Ritchey; as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

At Her request, there will be no viewing or memorial service. She will be cremated and laid to rest in Oakland Cemetary with her husband Paul.
