Margaret Bruner, 80, Indiana, went home to be with her Lord, Tuesday June 27, 2017, after a lengthy battle with ALS.
The daughter of LeRoy and Evelyn Marie (Means) Trimble, she was born October 29, 1936 in White Township, Indiana County.
Margaret attended Hood School Elementary and was a graduate of Indiana High School. She was a member of the Bethel Presbyterian Church, the sewing group “Senior Extension”, a 4H Leader, and member of the Blairsville Grange and the Women’s Missionary church group. Margaret had been employed by Indiana Regional Medical Center in patient registration. People will remember her as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed making gifts for others as well as baking cakes for special occasions.
Surviving is her husband of 59 years, Wesley Bruner, Blairsville; children, Randy (Leisa) Bruner, Shelocta, James Bruner and his significant other, Cindy Sisko, Indiana, Donna Bruner, Ernest; Daniel Bruner, Elkart, Indiana, and Martin Bruner and his fiancée, Debbie Dougherty, Pleasant Hills; grandchildren, Heather (William) Petrie, Long Island, NY, Joshua Bruner and friend, Erin Krepps, Indiana, Jaime Bruner and friend, Chance Webber, Hillard, OH, Alexis Bruner, and Issac Bruner; step grandchildren, Justin (Stephanie) Staron, Joshua Staron, Kalene Sullivan, Johnathan Dougherty, Katelyn Dougherty; great grandchildren, Nicholas and Anna Petrie, Andrew and Luke Staron; brothers, George (Elenora) Trimble, Blasdell, NY, and James (Rita) Trimble, Richmond, VA; sister, Evelyn (Albert “Clare”) Buratti, Albert, Indiana; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Preceding Margaret in death were her parents; an infant sister, Iva Jane Trimble, and sister Anna Martha Bacha. Friends will be received on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home. An additional hour of viewing will be held Friday morning from 10 to 11 am with funeral service to immediately follow in the Lefdahl Chapel with Pastor Terry Semsick, officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery.
