Louis Kurcsics Sr. 79, Penn Run, passed away Saturday, June 17, 2017, at his residence.

The son of Frank and Mary (Bukics) Kurcsics, he was born November 1, 1937 in Homer City, PA.

Big Lou loved his family, his wife of nearly sixty years, and his two children, little Lou and Deb.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and planting a garden.

Lou was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 2002 and loved attending and spending time with his dear friends in the Indiana, PA.  Congregation. He was a big hearted man that will truly be missed and fondly remembered.

Surviving is his wife, Clara Jean (Merkel) Kurcsics; children, Louis (Leah) Kurcsics Jr., Franklin, PA, Debra Kurcsics, Kent, Ohio; brothers, John Henry Kurcsics, Elyria, Ohio, and Joseph Sabo, Newton Falls, Ohio; sisters-in-law, Charlotte Kurcsics, Homer City and Mary Sabo, both of Newton Falls, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding Lou in death were his parents; brothers, Frank and Jerry Kurcsics and Steve Sabo; sisters, Mary, Olga, Beatrice, and Janet.

Friends are invited to attend a Memorial service on Saturday, June 24, 1 pm, at the Kingdom Hall, 450 East Pike Road, Indiana.
