Lloyd Clemons, Sr, 82, of Indiana, PA passed away Tuesday, September 5, 2017, peacefully at home.

Lloyd was born March 18, 1935 to the late Fred and Ella Francis Clemons. Lloyd worked for Ford Motor Company in Detroit, MI for 30 years. In 1984, when he retired, he moved his immediate family to Indiana, PA to be near his extended family.

Lloyd served the country enlisted in the United States Army.

He returned home and built housing for the community, demonstrated the entrepreneurial spirit in providing a community space.  Lloyd was an avid fisherman, a young boxer and enjoyed the sport of hunting.  His heart was larger than anyone can envisioned.

Lloyd, Sr. leaves behind his wife, Joan Patricia; sons, Lloyd Jr. and Bruce Slay, both in Michigan, Douglas Slay, Indiana; daughter, Cynthia Slay, Michigan; and a host of beautiful grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters.

Lloyd is preceded in death by his parents, Fred, Sr. and Ella Francis Clemons; siblings, Fred Jr., Carl, Juanita Jones and Shirley.

Friends will be received on Monday, September 11, 2017 at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home, 898 Old Route 119 N, Indiana, PA from 3 to 5 p.m. to celebrate Lloyd’s life.  Funeral service will immediately follow at 5 p.m. in the Lefdahl Chapel with Rev. Hansen, officiating.  Family and friends are invited to attend a dinner and fellowship following the funeral service at the Beulah Baptist Church, 640 North Fifth Avenue, Indiana.
