John Behune Jr., 86, Home, died Tuesday, January 9, 2018, while at the Communities at Indian Haven.

The son of John and Helen (Suwolitch) Behune Sr., he was born March 1, 1931 in Homer City.

John enjoyed hunting deer and farming. He served in the Army from 1955-1957. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.

Surviving is his wife Margaret Lynn (Beehler) Behune whom he wed June 24, 1961; children, Karen Shish, Home, Margaret (Russell) Juart, Smicksburg, Donald Behune and Michael Behune, both of Home,  Gregory (Kari) Behune; grandchildren, Amanda (Eric) Lingenfelter, William Ward, Russell (Jessi) Juart Jr., Justin (Tara) Juart, Kristin (Tim) Fuellner, Brandon Juart and his fiancée, Toni Corosu, Donald (Becky) Behune, Cheyenne Behune, Kaleb Behune, and Braden Behune; great grandchildren, Kylie and Tyler Lingenfelter, Lainey and Olivia Fuellner, Jace, Killian, and Asher Juart, Serenity and Barret Behune; sister, Susan Chojnacki, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding John in death were his parents; a son, John; brothers, Sam, George, and Robert; sisters Theresa Delaney, and Madge Behune.

Friends will be received on Friday from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 pm at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home, Indiana. Funeral service will immediately follow in the Lefdahl Chapel with Rev. Micah McMillen, officiating.
