James W. Yeomans, Sr., 75, Creekside, passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at his residence.
The son of John Franklin and Ruby Gladys (Little) Yeomans, he was born August 7, 1942 in Washington Township, PA.
Jim was a graduate of Marion Center Area High School, class of 1960. He served in the Army Reserves for six years and was employed as a coal auger operator and coal truck driver. Jim was a lifetime resident of Creekside, PA and resided his entire lifetime on the family farm. As a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, he loved spending time with his family especially the grandchildren and great grandchildren whom he loved very much. He loved the outdoors, tinkering in the garage, and caring for his animals. He also collected John Deere memorabilia.
Surviving is his wife of 53 years, Anna (Sallese) Yeomans; sons, James W. Yeomans, Jr. and his partner, Connie, Butler, Donald (Jacquelyn) Yeomans, Home; daughter, Nancy S. Yeomans, Apollo; grandchildren, Gregory (Nicci) Lydick, Brittany, Chelsea, and Allison Yeomans, Chantelle (Andrew) McNamee, Taye and Bubba Bradshaw; great grandchildren, Alice and Penelope Lydick, Zachary McNamee, and Gabriel Yeomans; brothers, Franklin “Carl” (Judy) Yeomans, Richard (Pat) Yeomans, Daryl (Linda) Yeomans, Daniel Yeomans, Larry (Billie Jo) Yeomans, Leslie (Julie) Yeomans, Lyndon (Rita) Yeomans; sisters, Nancy (John) Shoop and Donna Rankin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding Jim in death were his parents; an infant son, Bryan; an infant daughter, Patricia; and his grandparents, Nellie and Scott Little; and an uncle, Donald A. Little.
Friends will be received on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home, Indiana. There will be an additional hour of viewing Saturday morning from 9 to 10 a.m. with funeral service to immediately follow in the Lefdahl Chapel with Rev. Ronald Sexton, officiating.
