Harold "Chewy" Earl Little

Harold “Chewy” Earl Little, 89, Indiana, passed away Friday, February 23, 2018 while at St. Andrew’s Village.

The son of Merle and Elsie (Barron) Little, he was born January 31, 1929 in Indiana, PA.

Chewy was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 1989 as well as the Elks.  He was a board president and commander of the American Legion.  Chewy was an active member in the community, he conducted the Memorial Day service at the park and organized the Veteran’s Day Parade.  In his spare time, Chewy enjoyed camping and traveling with his wife both domestic and international. 

Surviving is his wife, Margaret “Maggie” Little, whom he wed September 27, 1958; daughter, Kathleen Little, CO; sister, Alice Foltz, Leetsdale, PA; and many niece and nephews.

Chewy was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Raymond Little; and sister, Mildred Wrenn.

Friends will be received on Sunday from 1 to 5 pm at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home.  A funeral service will be conducted Monday morning, 11 am, in the Lefdahl Chapel with Rev. Greg Golden, officiating.

Entombment will follow in the Oakland Mausoleum with Military Rites provided by VFW Post 1989.
