Frances “Franny” Mumau, 69, Indiana, passed away Saturday, March 11, 2017 at her residence.

The daughter of Edward and Pearl (Tonkin) Broskin, she was born April 17, 1947 in Ernest, PA.

Franny will be remembered as the type of individual who always put others before herself.  As a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, she will be sadly missed by family as well as friends.

During her lifetime Franny accomplished many things including being cofounder and partner of Mumau Diesel. 

Surviving is her husband of 50 years, Lenny Mumau, Indiana; four children, Jeffery Allen (Terri) Mumau, Shelocta, Brian Keith (Lavina) Mumau, Shelocta, Douglas Mumau and his significant other, Tanya Lindenberg, Murrysville, and Edward Wayne (Heather) Mumau, Indiana; seven grandchildren, Tyler, Brian, Samantha, Cody, Caitlin, Ashli, and Logan; two great grandchildren, Carter and Hannah; a brother, Edward Cecil Broskin, Ernest; a sister, Jeanne (Bob) Sweeney, Indiana; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Preceding Franny in death were her parents; sister, Susan Gray and Susan’s newborn child, Ronald; and a daughter-in-law, Dianna Mumau.

Friends will gather to pay their respects from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home, Indiana.  A Memorial Service will immediately follow in the Lefdahl Chapel with family friend, Mark Vislosky, officiating.

A private interment will be conducted at a later date in the St. Bernard Cemetery.
