Daniel Elsworth Gromley, 72, Indiana, died Wednesday, November 1, 2017 while at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh.

The son of Loy and Vivian (Spicher) Gromley, he was born October 27, 1945 in Bowdertown, PA.

Dan was a graduate of Purchase Line High School.  He had been employed by Indiana Regional Medical Center for over 23 years and retired from that location.  He was a member of the Indiana Lions were he was past president.  Dan was a retired member of the Indiana Fire Association.  He was an avid bowler and enjoyed walking his dog, Shoney. 

Surviving is his partner, Carol Lewis, Indiana; children, Shari Harper, Indiana and Kim Mottern, Punxsutawney; three grandchildren, Daniel (Stephanie) Harper, Heilwood, Tanya Harper and her significant other, Devin Dalessio, Home and Samantha Bertuzzi and her significant other, Chris Doster, Indiana; seven great-grandchildren; siblings, Delmont (Mary) Gromley, Punxsutawney, Belva Cambier, Thompson, OH, Wyott (Shirley) Gromley, Northfield, OH, and Ralph (Rosemarie) Gromley, Burlington, TN; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding Dan in death were his parents; wife, Elenore “Ellie” (Whitezel) Gromley; daughter, Kathy; great-grandchild, Kaiden Bertuzzi; and a sister, Byrl Caretti.

Friends will be received on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home, Indiana.  A Blessing Service will follow in the Lefdahl Chapel with Father Tom Federline as celebrant. 

Interment in the Greenwood Cemetery will be private.
