Barbara Louise Lipsie, 74, Indiana, passed away Monday, July 3, 2017, at her residence.

The daughter of Clair Owen and Wilda Ann (Neudorfer) Weiss, she was born May 8th, 1943, in Tanoma, Indiana County.

Barbara was a member of the Creekside United Methodist Church and also attended the Tanoma Methodist Church.  Her interests were many including gardening, quilting, knitting, growing flowers, fishing and collecting angel figurines.  Barbara was a homemaker and also at one time was employed by Woolworths. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Surviving is her husband, Thomas, whom she wed August 11, 1962; children, Rochelle (Jose) Fernandez, Orlando, FL, Gary (Evelyn) Lipsie, Summerton, S.C., Trudy (Norman) Stear, Spring Church, PA, and Michael Joseph Lipsie, Uniontown, PA; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren; sisters, Constance Lynn (Gerald) Alexander, Atlanta, GA, Deborah (Joseph) Coffman, Brush Valley, PA; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding Barbara in death were her parents; brothers, James, Peter, and Franklin; and sisters, Sharon Truitt and Betty Dulton.
Barbara’s family would like to give a special thank you to Kimberly Frech for her love and assistance in a difficult time.

Funeral arrangements will be private and entrusted to the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to either the American Cancer Association or VNA/Hospice, Indiana, PA
