Antonia Rose (OKorn) Knez, 95, of Indiana, formerly of Bridgeville, passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2017 while at Crystal Waters Personal Care Home.

The daughter of Louis and Frances (Groznick) OKorn.  She was born April 22, 1921 in Allegheny County.

Surviving is her daughter, Toni K. (Vincent) Receski, Indiana; son, Mark E. Knez, Big Pine Key, FL; grandson, Mark C. (Elizabeth) Receski, Allison Park, PA; sisters, Margaret Chappel, Betty Jane Hrabcsak, and Anna Rose Bedner; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding Antonia in death were her parents; husband, Enoch V. Knez; grandson, Victor V. Receski; sisters, Pauline, Frances, Dorothy, and Agnes; brothers, Louis, Victor, Ludwig, and Frederick. 

As per Antonia’s wishes, there will not be a visitation.  A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at 11 am at the St. Barbara Catholic Church, Bridgeville, PA for family members. 

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Visiting Nurses Association of Indiana County, 850 Hospital Road, Ste 3000, Indiana, PA 15701.

The John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home of Indiana has been entrusted with the arrangements.
