Anna Jane Strong, 85, Home, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at her residence.

The daughter of Melvin L. and Nellie (Buchannan) Wells, she was born March 17, 1931 in Apollo, PA. 

Anna was a member of Washington Church.  She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.

Surviving are her children, Donna (John) Waldron, Indiana, PA, Bill Srong, Cheyenne, WY, Saundra Bothell, Creekside; stepchildren, Gary (Beverly) Strong, Home, and Rickey (Stephanie) Strong, Chambersville; brother, Lee (Agnes) Wells, Home; six grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. 

Anna was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jerome Strong whom she was married to for 53 years; first husband, Raymond L. Orr; sisters, Peggy Frech and Geri Miller; and brothers, Roy, Danny, and Howard Wells.

Friends will be received on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home. An additional hour of viewing will be held Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. with the funeral service immediately following in the Lefdahl Chapel with Rev. Thomas Spiker, officiating. 

Interment will be in the Washington Church Cemetery and will be private for family only.
